  1. ** Instructions for using the Macintosh XLISP **

  5. There are three files associated with XLISP:
  6.  
  7.  
  8. BINHEX.V30--a MBASIC 1.0 program that converts "hex" files to clickable applications.
  9.  
  10. BNHX4.HEX--a hex file of the latest, fastest version of BINHEX, version 4.
  11.  
  12. XLISP.HCX--a BINHEX version 4 file containing XLISP.

  15. Here's what you do.
  16.  
  17. 1)  Capture all three files as text.
  18.  
  19. 2)  Run BINHEX.V30 (you must have Microsoft BASIC 1.0 or later to do this) and convert BNHX4.HEX.  This will create an application--call it BNHX4.
  20.  
  21. 3)  From the desktop, open BNHX4 and use it to convert XLISP.HCX--call this XLISP.
  22.  
  23. 4)  From the desktop, open XLISP.  You are now in the XLISP program.  There doesn't seem to be any way to exit XLISP, so be prepared to reset your machine when you are finished with XLISP.
